Prof Ongeri Readies for Post At NDC

Public Health Minister, Prof Sam Ongeri, yesterday declared that he was ready to vie for the post of national vice chairman during the national delegates conference.

Meanwhile, suspended Kisii Kanu branch vice-chairman, Zachary Motari and three other Kanu officials asserted that they are supporting Finance Minister Chris Obure for the national post from Nyanza Province.

Ongeri, however, dismissed Motari as inconsequential regarding matters of the branch saying he is neither a delegate nor a member of their executive committee.

"We want to avoid these games of irresponsible press statements by people who are not mandated to speak on behalf of the branch committee so that we can keep our delegates on the right path to the March 18 NDC," Ongeri concluded.
