Kiangoi Scoffs At Nyachae's Top Seat Bid

An Assistant Minister for Local Government, Mr Joseph Kiangoi, has denounced Simeon Nyachae's bid for the Presidency.

Over the weekend, Kiangoi led top Kanu officials from Nyamira District in denouncing Nyachae's candidature on a Ford People ticket.

He said despite holding key positions in the Government, Nyachae had done nothing for the Abagusii community to warrant their support for his bid.

Kiangoi, who is also the North Mugirango MP, cautioned members of the community against voting for an Opposition leader for the Presidency. He said it was inevitable that Kanu will form the next government.

Kiangoi, who led Kanu officials from Kitutu Masaba, North Mugirango and West Mugirango Kanu branches, challenged the former Finance Minister to state why the Kisii-Chemosit road could not be completed when he was in the government.
