The diocese's secretary general Fr Pancras Mogaka said that all politicians wishing to preside over any function in aid of the church must be cleared by the respective parish councils.
He said that all church officials including catechists found taking sides with any politician or political party will be stripped of their responsibilities.
Fr Mogaka also banned the church members from carrying walking sticks or any other weapons into the church.
The priest made the remarks yesterday after conducting a mass at the Kisii Central Catholic Church where he led worshippers in condemning last week's incident in which two people were killed during a political clash.
The casaulities were beaten to death when a fracas erupted at Bogiakumu Catholic Church living scores of others injured. A gang of political goons had raided the church leading to the chaos.
At the same time, the Kisii District Commissioner Mr Osman Warfa has called for calm among church members assuring them that the government will not spare any politician who could be implicated in the attack.
He clarified that his visit to the area last week was not to reconcile Kanu and Ford People supporters but was aimed at advocating for peace.
"We are dealing with the matter like any other crime and whoever had a hand in it must be brought to book irrespective of his status in the society," he said.
By yesterday, six suspects were still being held in connection to the incident.
