Give Orengo A Chance, Kisiis Urged

Kisiis have been urged to receive SDP presidential candidate James Orengo warmly during his campaign in the region.

Former Bomachoge MP Zephaniah Nyang'wara, who decamped to SDP after being locked out in the Ford People nominations and Prof Tumbo Oeri, who was rejected by Kanu, said Mr Orengo's campaign tour was aimed at giving the Kisiis a chance to compare him with Ford People's Simeon Nyachae and other presidential candidates before they can make a decision on whom to elect as their next president.

"Following the acrimony and rigging that marred Ford People nominations, many Kisiis now believe that any party can produce a competent President, including Mr James Orengo, who has gallantly fought the Kanu system," said Mr Nyang'wara.

The former Bomachoge MP, who together with 16 other key Ford People luminaries in Kisii moved to various parties after losing in the nominations, urged the voters in the three Kisii districts to give Mr Orengo a chance.

Mr Nyang'wara said he had nothing personal against Mr Nyachae, but had "only voiced my concern over his undemocratic style of politics which saw his family and relatives mess up the nominations".
