Poll Officials Out to Rig Kanu, Says Ongeri

Public Health Minister Prof Sam Ongeri, on Monday charged that some returning officers in Nyaribari Masaba Constituency were opposition sympathisers.

He claimed that the officers were working out on ways of rigging the exercise against Kanu.

He alleged that fake voting cards and duplicates of national ID cards were already in the possession of the election officials.

Ongeri asked the Abagusi to vote for Kanu parliamentary and civic candidates saying the ruling party was headed for victory.

The outgoing Nyaribari Masaba MP who is also the Kisii Kanu branch chairman dismissed recent press claims that it was Kanu supporters who attacked Mr Raila Odinga during a campaign tour of Kisii.

On health, Ongeri indicated that the Government will released a full report on the Health Insurance Scheme (HIS) by December 31 this year.
